During the Museum Week 2020, the international festival dedicated to culture, we worked for the Newark Museum of Art, the largest state museum in New Jersey (USA).
With our Stream Machine, the software we created to reprocess images and create real-time high-definition videos, we created a tribute to the art preserved in this prestigious museum by making some videos starting from these works:
– Martin Johnson Heade, Cattleya Orchid with Two Hummingbirds, ca. 1880s Oil on canvas;
– Phuntsok Dorje, Tibetan Buddhist Altar, 1988-1990s;
– Nkosi Fabrics, Commemorative Cloth, late 20th Century.
South Africa.
A way to celebrate the union of technology and art by using technology to remix some artworks from the Newark Museum of Art’s collection.
